How it works
Plasma Air products use soft ionization, also known as bipolar ionization, technology, which produces oxygen ion molecules, essentially nature’s process of cleaning the air. These oxygen ions are circulated throughout the entire home via the home's ductwork system, inactivating and reducing airborne pathogens and pollutants.
Proven effective
The Plasma Air products have gone through rigorous testing by independent laboratories to ensure that they’re proven both safe and effective. Testing has proven reduction on the following viruses, bacteria and VOCs:
- 99.99% reduction of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, within 90 minutes (Autoclean 1500).
- 99.94% reduction of the Omnicron variant within 90 minutes (PA 600 series)
- 97.17% reduction of the Aspergillus Niger (mold), within 120 min (AutoClean 1500).
- 80% reduction of VOC concentration within 6 hrs (PA 600 Series)
How will I know it is working?
- Particles in the air – Have you ever noticed those tiny particles floating in the air when the sun shines in? Ionization removes those particles from the air.
- Air filters – Ionization causes particles in the air to cluster, creating larger particles that are more easily filtered out of the air. Because of this, your HVAC air filters will load at a faster rate, especially for the first 90 days.
- Dust – Clustered particles that are not caught in the filters will fall out of the breathing zone and settle onto surfaces. So, you may notice a slight increase in dust on surfaces for the first 90 days.
- Odors – Ionization neutralizes odors from cooking, pets or smoke, so you'll notice that odors dissipate at a much faster rate.
