Do these coolers add too much humidity indoors?

They raise the relative humidity by 2–5%, ideal for dry climates. Use adequate exhaust (open doors/windows) for best comfort.

Can I run an evaporative cooler in a garage with the door closed?

You’ll need an exhaust opening (e.g., cracked window or roof vent) to allow warm air to escape and maintain airflow.

How often should pads be replaced?

Aspen pads: annually; rigid media: every 3–5 years, or sooner if minerals accumulate.
