The Aegis Bearing Protection Ring SGR-4.875-UKIT-1A4 is a split-ring shaft grounding kit for electric motors with a 4.875-inch shaft diameter. It is used to prevent electrical damage to motor bearings by diverting harmful shaft voltages to the motor frame, and from there to ground. This is especially important for motors controlled by Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), which can induce damaging currents.
